Focusing on the traditionally feminine colour of pink, this piece is a celebration of women and femininity. The work highlights all the strength and beauty to be found within femininity. Like the other pieces in the collection, the piece is a call for equality and an assertion of women’s deservingness of said equality.

The greens of the piece communicate ideas of nature and growth, as do the floral patterns of the dress. The patchwork is representative of the many different phases of life and the emotions and feelings that come with them. Ultimately, though, the piece is a reminder to appreciate life more. As represented by the butterfly, beautiful, but with too short a lifespan. Every moment must be savoured.

Freedom

A vision of hope and transformation, Freedom is part of the Woman, Life, Freedom collection for International Women’s Day. It portrays a journey from darkness into light, where the sun’s glow symbolizes progress for all women. The bluebird, an enduring emblem of freedom, soars ahead, met by the woman’s uplifting gaze as she rises. Her expression is both inspiring and reassuring, a quiet but powerful declaration: freedom belongs to all women.
